The Challenge
Galaxy Solutions recognized a critical gap in healthcare credentialing: vital records like immunization histories, professional certifications, and medical credentials were difficult to verify, easy to forge, and siloed across countless institutions. Healthcare providers wasted countless hours verifying credentials, patients struggled to maintain portable health records, and fraud in medical credentialing posed serious public health risks. They needed a solution that would enable instant verification while keeping individuals in control of their own data.
Our Solution
We implemented a comprehensive digital identity and verifiable credentials platform built on Hyperledger Indy for decentralized identity management and Hyperledger Aries for credential exchange protocols. The system enables healthcare organizations to issue tamper-proof digital credentials that patients can store in a secure mobile wallet and share selectively with verifiers. We built a React-based administrative portal for credential issuers, a patient-facing mobile application for credential management, and verification APIs for healthcare providers. The AWS-hosted infrastructure ensures enterprise-grade availability while maintaining the decentralized trust model.
The Results
The platform has established a new standard for healthcare credential management, enabling instant verification while protecting patient privacy. Multiple healthcare organizations have adopted the system, dramatically reducing administrative burden and fraud risk.
